The Chartered Marketer (CM) Instructor-Guided format provides a structured, interactive learning experience for professionals who prefer scheduled deadlines and real-time engagement.

This three-month format combines weekly coursework with instructor support and peer collaboration to help you stay accountable and on track.

Courses may be taken as part of the Chartered Marketer (CM) program or as standalone certificate courses.

  • Weekly assignments, quizzes, and discussion forums
  • Live instructor engagement and structured guidance
  • Peer interaction within a cohort-based environment
  • Defined milestones and deadlines throughout the program

Participants may register for the following Instructor-Guided courses:

  1. Tools for Success
  2. Finance and Campaign Execution
  3. Summit

CM-approved participants:
Register through your MyCMA account via the Program Status page.

Standalone certificate participants:
Register by selecting the available course to enroll in the Instructor-Guided format.

Can I combine Instructor-Guided and On-Demand courses?
Yes. You may complete one course in the Instructor-Guided format and others on-demand.

Can I switch formats?
Switching is permitted within the standard refund window within 7 days of purchase for any on-demand course which has not been accessed and/or opened. Refunds are not available after that period.

We will provide a refund less an administration fee of $25 for cancellation requests received within 7 days of purchase for any on-demand course which has not been accessed and/or opened. Any on-demand courses which have been accessed and/or opened are no longer eligible for refunds. To cancel, a learner will select ‘credit request’ in MyBillings and select ‘refund’, refunds will be issued to the source of payment and may take up to 4 weeks to be completed.

Is there an additional application fee?
No. The CM application fee is $79 + HST for all formats.

Must the course be completed within three months?
Yes. Participants in the Instructor-Guided format are required to complete the course within the scheduled three-month period.
