George Brown College

Toronto, ON

I'm a Business Marketing student at George Brown College with a passion for creating meaningful connections through marketing and community engagement. My interest in marketing began while working at one of Canada's top law firms, where I had the opportunity to collaborate with the events and marketing team and see firsthand how strategic communication can make an impact. Since then, I've supported small businesses with their social media presence, contributed to the planning and execution of events, and maintained Dean's List standing throughout my marketing studies. As a Canadian Marketing Association Ambassador, I'm excited to connect with fellow students, promote opportunities that support professional growth, and help foster an engaging and inclusive marketing community. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, sailing, and spending time with my friends, family, and my dog, Chico.

Yorkville University

British Columbia

Hi everyone, I’m Rajat! By day, I work as the Manager of Student Life at Yorkville University (BC Campus), where my focus is on designing seamless campus experiences, leading student staff, and keeping our operational ecosystem running smoothly. On the academic side, I’m building on a background in English, Print and Digital Publishing as a current MBA candidate. I’ve always believed that whether you’re structuring a student engagement initiative or positioning a brand, the core challenge is the same: taking complex, moving parts and shaping them into a cohesive, meaningful experience.

As a CMA Student Ambassador, my goal is to bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry execution - helping my fellow students tap into the CMA network, gain clarity on marketing as a discipline, and build confidence as everyone navigates through their career paths. Always up for a great conversation about marketing strategy, student leadership, or the precise science of brewing the perfect cup of coffee. Looking forward to connecting and collaborating with you all!

Ivey Business School

Toronto, ON

I'm Shriyaa Kaur, an MBA candidate at Ivey Business School and a marketer with 4+ years of experience spanning brand management, creative strategy, and client servicing in India, where I partnered with 150+ brands across FMCG, CPG, retail, IT, and B2B to pitch and execute campaigns that turned big ideas into measurable brand value. My focus over the last few years has been creative tech- building VR, AR, and XR-powered campaigns and AI-customized brand experiences that meet consumers where they actually are. I'm now bringing that experience into Canada's marketing landscape, looking to transform brands, teams, or challenges with an impact. For me, marketing isn't about selling a product; it's about crafting a moment people genuinely want to be part of.

George Brown Polytechnic

Toronto, ON

Hi! I’m Athena, a Bachelor of Commerce student specializing in Digital Marketing at George Brown Polytechnic in Toronto. I’ve always been interested in why people connect with certain brands, ideas, and messages, and that curiosity is what drew me to marketing in the first place. I also love event planning, coordinating projects, and taking the lead on bringing ideas to life. I enjoy being the person who brings people together, keeps things organized, and makes things happen.

Outside of school, I work at Scotiabank. My interest is in building a career in marketing within the banking and financial industry, where I can work on creative campaigns for major brands and connect with large, diverse audiences. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll probably find me running. I love challenging myself, staying active, and working toward new goals.

As a CMA Ambassador, I’m excited to help more students learn about the opportunities available to them, meet people in the industry, and feel more connected to the marketing community. I’m especially looking forward to planning experiences that bring students together, bringing more CMA opportunities to George Brown, and helping students get involved.
